Dear Abhinav,
I see you are interested in Social Sciences. Can you suggest some good reads on Pyschology, Sociology, Philosophy. I mean on Social Sciences
Can you suggest some good reds in sociology, Pyschology and Philosophy
If you are serious about philosophy take a look at Stanford encyclopedia of philosophy here http://plato.stanford.edu/contents.html.
Its fairly comprehensive and it should keep one busy for quite a while.
If you want philosophical novels, grab any Ayn Rand book. Especially Fountainhead and Atlas shrugged.
Thanks for the link. I try to read books in hard copy.
I read Ayn Rand about 7-8 years ago. Not as much philosophy as capitalist propaganda. Not a fan anymore.
Have moved on to more worthwhile writers like Doris Lessing, Milan Kundera, Franz Kafka, Haruki Murakami, Vidia Naipaul, etc. Try these if you are interested in the quintessential philosophical novel.
I agree. But philosophy apart, I liked Atlas Shrugged for its story. Yes, I have started reading Kafka and he blows me away, totally !!. I too read hard copies. It just happened that I bumped into the Stanford site.
Thanks...
